At Off the Rails Barbeque and Drafthouse, tucked away at 549 Allegheny River Blvd in Verona, PA, each visit feels like a culinary journey. Patrons rave about the tender, flavor-packed brisket and the indulgent mac and cheese, which has earned a fan in customer Rick Petro, who describes it as "perfectly done." He highlights their specials, like the "train wreck burger," as juicy and well-seasoned.
Newcomer Steven Lam was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes, a welcome change from other barbecue joints, noting the delightful Carolina gold sauce that perfectly complements the meats. Customer Amanda Miller echoes the rave reviews with her description of the brisket sandwich as "melting in your mouth," along with equally impressive baked beans and fries.
The vibrant atmosphere enhances the dining experience, as live music adds charm while guests enjoy craft beers from a varied on-tap selection, as pointed out by Todd Levenson. Antoinette Geyer praised the smoky, tender meats and the inviting sides, recommending the mustard sauce paired with pork. Overall, Off the Rails Barbeque and Drafthouse is not just a meal; it’s an experience worth revisiting, brimming with flavor and hospitality.

Not my first time here and every time was AMAZING! My wife got her usual brisket mac n cheese, perfectly done, creamy mac n cheese and tender flavorful brisket. I got one of today's specials, train wreck burger. Juicy, flavorful cooked perfectly! We also got 2 of their half chicken specials with 2 sides to go! They held them for us so they were ready to go when we left. They are meaty, tender, cooked perfectly! Everyone we interacted with was friendly, personable and helpful! Definitely worth going if you've never been there!

Wifey wanted bbq for dinner and happened to come across this place. Walked in and placed our order at the counter. Gave us a pager for when our food was ready. Haven’t been here before so we decided to get 1/2 of brisket, pulled pork, and chopped chicken. Sides were Mac and cheese and cornbread. Now as a New Yorker, when I usually order half a pound of bbq it’s usually a tiny portion. Not here! Was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. Food did not disappoint. Everything was tasty. What topped it off was the Carolina gold sauce. Not sure what was in it but it sure tasted great. Mac and cheese had lil too much black pepper but wifey loved corn bread. Live music was playing while we ate. A lil too loud for my comfort but that was cool. After else ate, went outside to enjoy the firepit and play cornhole for a lil bit.

Amazzzzzzing. The staff was wonderful... the atmosphere is dope. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bar seating. Everyone was super friendly. Now the food... the brisket sandwich was amazing. It melted in your mouth. The baked beans were bomb. Great burger and the fries were also delicious... will definitely be back again.

Discovered this locally owened business and highly recommend! Ordered beef brisket and pulled pork; there were two sauce choice, BBQ and mustard, recommend the mustard. Both entrees were smoky, tender, and flavorful. The pork had a nice bark on it. The collard greens were delightfully spicy and the brussel sprouts were crisp with a surprising vinegar dressing. Acoustic guitar from 7pm to 9pm was awesome, as was the beer list...a dozen beers on draft. Highly recommend and will return!

We had a great time. A variety of beer choices on tap from IPA to Red Ale. The whole wings were dusted to perfection then a variety of BBQ sauces were available at the counter. Live music by Sloane Simone was off the charts. First time at Off the Rail BBQ and definitely be back.

Great place for BBQ, drinks, social interactions, and live music. IMO their food is sometimes on the saltier side, but your mileage may vary. Want to rip into some house smoked chicken legs? A heaping tray of the magical fruit that makes you toot? Or how about some Moo Moo Mac Daddy and some crunchy slaw? It’s all good. They have an above average (but small-ish) craft beer selection if you’re a drinker. They even had Heady Topper and Focal Banger on a few occasions. Their social media outlets are a good place to stay updated on events and live entertainment. If you’re a local, live in the surrounding area, or just passing through, I highly recommend planning a visit. Stretchy pants are optional.

We stoped just to eat in the way home, but it was a nice surprise to find this restaurant with or like bar style. A nice band was playin music. Food was good, I just didn’t like the coleslaw salad. (Pretty different from Michigan coleslaw style). Other wise I’ll put 5 stars in my review. Nice ambience and good location. Friendly environment, good drinks, We find Konsch from Colon. For those who like German bear.

Absolutely obsessed. Homemade, house-smoked barbeque. The owners and staff are extremely sweet and friendly. They do have indoor and outdoor seating which is super nice in the warmer months. They do close in the one area for additional seating and have heaters so it’s not too cold! The flavor, spices and way the items were prepared with absolutely delicious. The meat melts right in your mouth. Tried the wings- three jumbo smoked whole wings. They are slow cooked & flash fried. The pulled pork sandwich was incredible- slow smoked pork, tossed in a house Carolina cider mop piled on top of a Breadworks bun and Pittsburgh pickles. The brisket is a slow smoked Texas style brisket and we tried that on top of the creamy Mac and cheese. WOW- the brisket was so tender. And of course had to try their corn bread. Which came hot and totally hit the spot.
